Highly effective unit, worth the $$
This unit is extremely effective. It is well worth 5 of the disposable made in China units. After the last three units were deemed a fire hazard the quality of this unit is appreciated. It works much better and won't burn your house down!

Don't buy
After only 6 months of operation the CS60 is no longer working due to a freon leak. Contacting Ebac customer support by phone or e-mail is futile. No one answers the phone and no one replays to my e-mail. None of my local HVAC places will attempt to repair it. This unit is well designed but there is poor quality control at the factory. When the unit was working it did the job well. The question is- do you feel lucky?

Poor Design and performance
Poor product design. Poor quality control. Unit does not control to humidity setting because they mounted the humidity stat in the evaporator/condenser discharge air stream. What the???. If you want to get any performance from this unit you must turn it all the way down to the lowest setting just to keep it running and get any where near 60% relative humidity. Unit short cycles due to poor design.
