Good lock for my needs - sturdy and easy to use
I like this lock. The combo is large and numbers easy to manipulate, even with cold fingers. The fully-extended cable works better for me than coiled models. I can use this for locking one or more bikes together, also for locking bikes and bike rack to my vehicle through the spoiler, so that rack and bike can't be lifted off the car together.I suppose someone could cut this cable, but they'd have to be a pretty dedicated thief with the right tools. Not a problem for me, since I use it on a low-value bike. Have just ordered a second lock for another bike.

Sturdy, Resettable, LONG lock
Lost the keys to my previous cable lock that we use for our Burley trailer--we were using a Python MasterLock before. I was torn with going to a combo lock because of all the bad news I'd heard about the combo changing on you if you left it out too long (just superstition or bad memory I assume, mostly). It's a great lock at a great price. OnGuard is kind of the low end of consumer bike locks--sure they make a few quality products, but most of it is cheap stuff. The combo area is pretty bulky (touted as a security feature, but more than likely it's just necessity), but the lock is long and it's got a deterring diameter cable (nothing is thick enough when the cable cutters actually come to bear--but this one is thick enough to turn you off before trying). It also is flexible enough that you can wrap it up pretty compact--ie, not a coil-cable lock). Overall, pretty positive impression. We use cable locks like this to lock up our trailer outside in the inner-city. Never had a lock cut, but we aim 12mm and above on our cable diameter.

Decent lock, but flawed
Easy to set combination, easy to open, great (somewhat long) length. The main issue I have with this lock is that the two plastic pieces on each side of the combination break free from their weak glue points...like within a week of use. So basically the black/yellow plastic piece don't stay in place and slide down the cable. I sent the first one back thinking it was defective, but it also happened to the second one within days.

Love it, buying another
*UPDATE*4 years later: still works great! The plastic part broke off due to all the time in the sun, but it doesn't effect performance.***End update***Very nice lock. Probably the nicest I have owned. Very nice clicking sound as it turns around, and it is pretty easy to see the numbers. The best part of it is the lock doesn't have the memory in the coil. After you take off the straps holding it in a coil it acts almost like a pole laying out straight. It is flexible and strong without being too big. I can wrap it around my bike near the handlebars so I don't have to carry it in my backpack, and it doesn't get in the way of my moving legs.I am now going to buy one for my road bike as well. I purchase a lock for my road bike a couple of weeks ago, for a couple of bucks less than this one, that has given me nothing but trouble. Ick...

Absolute sh!t.
I HAD a Specialized Rockhopper up until today, when it was stolen in broad daylight right off the beach in Santa Monica. I'd wrapped my bike up through the frame/wheel and locked it to a city-provided bike locking area. A million people around and secured, I'd figured it would be safe enough. Apparently not. This "lock" got clipped and my bike is gone without a trace. This wasn't an overnight saw-job, this thing must've got snipped in a matter of seconds in BROAD EFFING DAYLIGHT. Apparently it was no match for someone with what must've been basic equipment. If you give a damn about your decent stuff, don't buy this thing.

Don't be fooled - this item is cheaply made
This lock looks sturdy and is easy to use. I like that it doesn't coil and it has velcro straps to tidy it up when you're putting it away. After one week of using the lck, both of the plastic black/yellow bits to the lock had come loose from the metal underneath and slide all over, making my bike now a prime target for any thieves. I paid a few extra dollars for this thinking I would get a decent quality product -- definitely not the case. Very disappointed. It initially looks nice, but I promise it's cheap

Great Lock, but Overkill for my Commuter Beater
I lost it shortly after getting it (commuting mishap at 6am, didn't notice it hit the road). It's long, the lock itself is silky-smooth, and it's overall nice quality. Really easy to use is all respects.I had trouble figuring out where to put it while riding. If you don't have a backpack or panniers then I don't know... it's semi-big, there's no frame mount. This isn't a knock on the lock, just a consideration. My old lock mounted to the frame and I miss that more than I thought I would have. All that said, I ride a $150 Craigslist bike so it was really complete overkill. I replaced it with a Target $5 job because if someone wants my 25+ year old bike THAT bad they can have it.For some reason I failed to ask myself just how much I cared about my bike before getting this.

Great Cable Lock for my bike!
this lock is sturdy and heavy. Works well and easy to set the lock to your numbers. The velcro ties stay on the cable for easy storage. A definite good buy to protect your investment!
