Color:Sage The Lifefactory Cafe Collection brings the flavor clarity of glass to your hot beverages with the durability and quality that Lifefactory glass hydration bottles are known for. For peak flavor, Lifefactory Café Mugs allow you to enjoy coffee and tea directly after brewing or steeping. The borosilicate glass mugs can handle heat while the protective and insulating foam sleeves are able to keep your beverages warm for up to one hour. The sleeves offer a cool-touch, non-slip grip on your mug and also protect against breakage. Meanwhile the spill-proof Cafe Cap provides one-hand open/close and a flip-up carry handle making it an ideal choice for commuting. Lifefactory's innovative, reusable glass mugs provide an excellent alternative to disposable cups and plastics. The mugs feature a wide-mouth opening making it easy to steep tea, add milk and sugar, and foamed milk. For easy care, the sleeve and glass can be washed together. All components are dishwasher safe. It is recommended to wash the cap on the top rack. The cap is constructed of BPA/BPS-free polypropylene (PP#5) with no phthalates, PVC, or polycarbonates. Do not microwave. Crafted in the USA and Europe.

NOT SO GREAT! : (
The cap is the best part. The thick foam type material on the body that covers the glass bottle has a toxic chemical smell that does not go away. I don't think it would be a good idea to handle it with your hands either. LifeFactory missed on this one, they should have made the glass body double wall so it would be insulated better and then just covered that part with a silicone sleeve. Instead they used a regular glass bottle covered in a thick foam (doesn't say what it's made out of) which makes it heavy before you place any liquid inside. Also I noticed it does not keep liquid hot for very long either. Like I said the cap is the best part.

Heat loss rate is too fast
I read the reviews before purchasing. I knew my coffee was not going to stay "hot" but I don't drink my coffee when it's really hot so I thought I would be fine. Well, even for a person who likes drinking coffee after it's cooled down a bit, this bottle loses heat too fast. Especially if you leave drinking spout open, it'll get cold really fast. My expectations were not high and I'm disappointed. I'm going to give it another couple of days but I'm leaning toward returning it.

Nice materials, but possible design flaw
It is a sturdy bottle that seems to be constructed well, and a much healthier option (and it is great that it's capable of handling hot liquids). But, there is a major design flaw--I have two of these, and both are problematic. One of them leaks regularly through the top cap opening, even when sealed tightly (most likely defective). The other one will leak if you screw the cap on but then don't open up the top opening flap to release air. This seems to be a design flaw--the opening hole isn't sealed properly and the air pressure will push water through if the bottle is not sitting upright (e.g., in a bag and laying sideways).

Great alternative to fragile double wall glass travel containers for tea and hot drinks. Very well made.
I really appreciate what Lifefactory is doing in terms of providing us with glass drinking containers.I got this as an alternative to double wall insulated glass tea containers I was using for travel. None of these lasted very long without breaking. This on the other hand will not break easily. It works very well for hot drinks and is excellent for travel. My only issue with this is the lid. If it is not closed completely, your drink will leak out. In addition , I wish the lid was not plastic. A hot drink coming in contact with plastic, any plastic, is not a good idea, but it is far better than an all plastic container.

... I have to say that it is my most favorite mug in my cabinet
I bought this Coffee/Tea mug in November of last year and I have to say that it is my most favorite mug in my cabinet. It is completely leak-proof and the outer silicone layer protects it from breaking and chipping. There have been countless times that I have shaken the mug to make sure it is all mixed up with a napkin covering the lid because I have never had a mug that is leak-proof. Anyway, I can honestly say that the napkin comes out clean other than from my lipstick on the rim. It is a very great quality mug and you won't regret buying it other than wishing you bought more! Enjoy

The lid I received just opens and closes easily and will open if the bottle is moderately tipped
Cap defective. I didn't realize this was the case until it was too late to return. Bought this as a gift and asked how it was. They said the lid didn't keep liquids in well so I went to a local store to compare. The lid I received just opens and closes easily and will open if the bottle is moderately tipped. The ones in the store have less give and you really have to push to open them. Wish I had known before it was too late

Love it... now, sometimes
I was gifted a 22oz Lifefactory water bottle, which I love, but due to its size and weight over the 16oz plastic I was toting, I quit carrying water with me each day and just left a cup at work. It and a smoothie cup and a coffee thermos were just too much. But then I missed my water during afternoons when I didn't come straight home, so I decided to maybe get a 16oz bottle to leave in my tote. I found this hot bottle and thought perfect. I can take my coffee and then fill it with water for the rest of the day.I am a coffee "sipper", I don't drink it for the caffeine, but because I just enjoy drinking it in the morning while reading or getting work started. Weekends mean lots of reheating my cup, usually I didn't even start drinking it until I got to work. Morning 1 with this cup, filled it when the coffee was done, left the house 15 minutes later or so, sipped it while driving, gulped down lukewarm coffee when I parked at work. Bleh. Morning 2, poured it right before leaving, sipped it during the 25 minute commute, barely tolerable when I got to work. Very disappointed. My stainless Thermos kept it good and hot for several hours. But that was also a bad thing, because I could sip coffee until 10 or 11 in the morning before drinking any water. Then I was stuck with a stained, coffee smelling thermos you can't ever use for anything else. After a few days using it I have found I can get 10-15 mins more heat by filling the bottle with hot water when I start the coffee and letting it sit until I am ready to leave the house. I definitely suggest doing that. Now I dump that water and pour my coffee last thing before leaving. It is much hotter in the beginning, still reasonably warm, with a few sips left, when I get inside the office. I agree with other comments, expect 45 mins to an hour max for hot drinks. I then rinse it out, fill it with water and am actually drinking more water, and have a bottle that slips into my tote for the rest of the day. Sometimes I miss the lingering coffee sipping, but this just works better for many other reasons.I love the lid, one hand much better than unscrewing the thermos top, if they ever sell it separately I will likely get another for the water bottle.Edited 1/26/17 I have a love hate with this bottle. It is the finickiest lid ever. I am careful putting it on, always, but I still randomly pour coffee down my shirt. Then I quit using it. Then I go back to it to keep me from nursing coffee in stainless until noon. And the glass just tastes better. Then it randomly leaks. I put the lid on 3 times Friday and it still leaked. Came home filled it with water and it sealed perfectly, can't duplicate the problem. It is frustrating, how hard is screwing on a lid really. Since I no longer depend on using it for water when the coffe is done, I wish I had gotten a 12oz. Knocked a star off my original review.

Great in dishwasher but doesn't keep drinks hot as long as metal ones
I love these because they can go in your dishwasher, unlike most metal ones. However, they do not keep drinks hot nearly as long as metal ones or other brands I have bought. They seem to hold up over time though, despite using it almost every day for a few years now.

Me gusto
Me encanta mi vaso, no es un termo, aún así conserva durante un tiempo prudente el calor del café, bonito y de buen tamaño el forro es más grueso por lo que aunque se siente caliente ni te quema las manos.
