Tricky lid; squirrels can easily chew off the plastic
tricky to open but if you're patient and go slow, eventually it will click! I love squirrels but they easily destructed this feeder. I believe because the holes are smaller for the seeds to come out, the squirrels got frantic and greedy and went cray cray on this dispenser. I only recommend this feeder for temporary and light bird feeding. If you're a die-hard birder, this ain't for you.

NOT metal roof nor bottom; only but if you’re willing to sand jagged plastic!
This is a nice design, but POORLY executed! Do NOT buy this feeder unless you are prepared to sand every. individual. port. So that the birds don’t cut themselves feeding! You can see in my photos how I sanded each port, inside and out, to smooth horribly jagged pieces of plastic left from the manufacturing: one was a good 1/4” and SHARP! Each port has two internal corners that are sharp as well, and if a bird was reaching in for a seed, it could’ve cut them. Also, THERE IS NO METAL in this feeder! The only exception is the metal hanging wire! The description leads one to believe that the top and bottom are metal, thus more impervious to squirrels, but they’re just painted plastic. MIXidea sells a nice set of feeders on Amazon with metal ports, tops, and bottoms, as well as grating for the peanut feeder, all for about $14, a much better set. I would never purchase this feeder again unless the jagged plastic issue was resolved and the top and bottom were actually molded metal rather than flimsy plastic. But I am loathe to return something I can repair, so I did, and hopefully I did a good job and the birds will be nicely sheltered while eating here, at least until the squirrels chew apart the PLASTIC perches :/

Perfect bird feeder
I have purchased 2 of these so I can swap them easily since the birds eat the feed so quickly. I have had them for several months now and they have held up very well. They look very nice and are a very good quality. I highly recommend them.

Small birds get trapped
We liked it but small birds get trapped inside so we had to modify the openings with duck take. When the seeds get low they can get through the opening. Other than that we like it.

Cheaply and poorly made
This bird feeder is very cheaply made. The roof piece is very hard to attach successfully. It’s not secure and allows seeds to get wet. Do not recommend.

Cute, but difficult to open.
This cute little bird feeder is loved by birds. However, it is tricky to open it for refills. My neighbor tried to open it, and she could not, ending up ripping it apart. Now it is trash. I missed the return window by two days. If you buy this, just be very careful when you open it (towards the top).

Won't stay together.
Item looked OK until you try to get the top to fit on the bottom. One bird landed on it and the bottom fell off. There is no way to connect it tightly.I finally gave up.. Surely not worth buying. We get lots of birds and now I can't use this one.

Good example of "you get what you pay for" - very inexpensive, but not worth anything to me.
Very cheap plastic that breaks easily. Roof has to be off to fill, and getting it back on after filling is extremely difficult. Would have returned it, but it broke while I was trying to fill it and attach the roof - a seemingly impossible task. Don't waste your money.
