Not durable enough
I dislike several aspects of these boots.First, the fit is way too big. I went down a full size and they still feel loose with thick wool socks on.Second, the neoprene uppers hold moisture for a long time. While the water does not rush in, the moisture stays after they get wet.The neoprene makes them very hot, especially in warm weather. Water wicks slowly and creates a very warm, moist environment for your feet/legs.They have already begun cracking in the creases behind the toe box area. I wear them several times each week so this is disappointing--these boots should last several years, not less than one season. The neoprene uppers wear easily on the inside, just above the ankle. Mine already are wearing thin at that location.

not the quality I was expecting
The inner soles wore out and needed to be replaced within the first 2 months. By month 6, the bottoms were separating from the body of the boot, I used epoxy to fix them. Now there are weather cracks at the big toe and they are no longer water proof. I really expected them to last longer than 8 months!

Second Failing Pair in Two Years
I have purchased two pairs of these boots within the last two years; the first pair lasted me about a year before they started to leak from wear and tear. I finally broke down and bought a new pair because I couldn't be working out in freezing temperatures with wet feet. Unfortunately the new pair I purchased already had a leak in both boots. I have attempted to contact muck regarding their warranty but I never hear anything back from them. One coworker, who I recommended these boots to, purchased a pair locally that had the exact same issue as me, so I know it isn't just me.I wouldn't mind purchasing new boots about every year, since I do use them extensively for work (~8 hrs 6 days a week), but it's incredibly frustrating to purchase a pair of boots and have a leak right off the bat. It's even more frustrating when you get no response from the company who supposedly has a year warranty. I am due for a new pair of boots (long over due, considering these have been leaking day one..) and I will never purchase another pair of muck boots any more. Nor will I recommend them to new people at work.I will say, as a positive for the boots, they are generally comfortable. I'm in between sizes and have had to add insoles to help with rubbing. They also do not get very hot in the summer/sunlight compared to some other boots I have worn.If you're looking for a pair of rain boots, I'm sure a pair of muck boots will last you forever, but if you actually want to work in these boots, you're better off buying something else.

Original pair and replacement pair leak.
I read some of the reviews that said the boots run large, I'm a 10.5 so I ordered a size 10 and they fit great. So far the boots have been working out great. They have kept my feet dry and warm.1/7/16 updateThe boots starting leaking. It was both feet so either I got a defective pair or this is just the way they are. I work in the car wash business so I'm constantly having water misted at my feet. I'm never completely sumerged in water it's always just water misting on the boots and they end up leaking through. I am getting a replacement sent to me. I will update the review if these new ones do not leak.Update 1/11/16 I got my replacement boots and they also leak under very light conditions. It leaks from the heal and the bottom sides of the boot. Both my original pair and replacement pair leak. I'm very disappointed with these and would not recommend them to anyone.

They are real "Muck Boots"
I purchased the Boots for my husband! He had a knock off pair before and liked them, so he needed new ones and so many of his friends had the real Muck Boots brand and they lasted them years! These guys are farmers, truck drivers and one guys fills propane tanks pushing through feet of snow to reach the tank..those guys work hard and test their foot wear to it's limits and when they tell me get him the Mucks and he will be happy! He's thrilled with them You can not go wrong with this buy !!!Thanks Amazon for carrying them!

Leaked after 15 minutes!!
I have never owned a pair of waterproof boots before, so I was very excited to purchase a brand name like Muck boots. 15 minutes after the very first time I wore them, I had water in my right boot!! 15 minutes?! Just walking in wet conditions, nothing extreme. I can't see how the water got in, but it wasn't from the top. Very poor quality control for an expensive pair of boots. First and last time with Muck!

early days, so far so good
I have fat calfs, these were the only brand/ stye that fit me, especially with jeans & long johns tucked in.I bought them a few days ago and so far everything seems fine. I wanted to make sure that THIS pair was water-tight so I stood in a tub of water (to calf). Wasn't sure the first time (right foot at ball of big toe-- always seems to be a problem place for me, old or new). I tried it two more times and they seemed ok. I will definitely be testing them again.I will be wearing them on a trip where I will be doing "wet landings" in sub-freezing waters and walking for probably no more that 2 hours on snow and ice with at least one pair of super-warm socks and a boot liner. I have done similar trips in the past and wore only Wellies and really warm socks. I do not want or need an arctic rated boot because I'm more likely to need them during a tropical storm/hurricane. Or shoveling out the driveway at home after a fairly rare snowstorm. Weather rating is supposed to be "sub-freezing" to 85F. Arch support seems fine for the 20 minutes(?) that I wore them. If that doesn't work out, I'll put in my SuperFeet insoles (maybe the merino ones).

Question over quality?
Don't get me wrong, I love Muck Boots, I find them the most comfortable, well fitting wellies I've ever had, these have been my second pair, the first having lasted around three years, being worn every day mainly for dog walking. The weather was particularly bad at the end of their life, and they had coped with with a lot of water and mud and eventually formed a hole, so I thought it time to replace them with another pair. This pair have lasted less than a year, and have now split right across the toe. They have only been used for two hours a day, walking the dogs across fields, so have not had to cope with any acidic or harsh conditions, so I can only put it down to a lack of quality materials, it's such a shame as they were my favourite brand of wellies, but I cannot afford to spend this amount on them to have them fail within a year.

Love them!!
I am so pleased with these boots! i have had problems with every pair of boots i have previously brought due to my wide calf's but these are just perfect. Thanks to other reviewers and those who took the time to answer my question, i brought them in my normal size 6 and they fit perfectly, providing room for a comfy pair of socks. They fit perfectly on my calf's thanks to the stretchy Neoprene and keep the creepy crawlies out, i had to tackle a massive red ants nest and not one managed to make it inside!I have very wide feet and from the minute i put these boots on, i have never felt uncomfortable. wearing them in 25'c they didn't make my feet or legs sweatvery impressed

Cracked in less than 1 year, now not waterproof
Not happy. Has these less than a year and they have cracked so are now not waterproof. I actually don't wear them that much either so quite disappointed.

GREAT BOOTS
I bought these for my hubby last Christmas but have held off reviewing til now to check the durability of them...... I have not been disappointed. They are warm as they have a thermal lining, they tops are flexible so move with your calf. They have not split and nor do they leak. They get used every single day - dog walking for about 2-3 hours, in mud, rain, wind and sleet. A little pricey at about £75-£80 but are well worth the expense. I have bought 'bog-standard' wellies in the past for about £15 and they generally last about 3-6 months.

Brilliant wellies
These arrived as I was heading out to walk my dogs so thought this would be a great opportunity to try them out. Did 3.2 mile dog walk and was out for an hour and a half and they felt like slippers! No rubbing and fitted perfectly! I have large calfs and was worried this was an issue and whilst they do fit snugly around my calf they do not feel too tight or cause any discomfort. Great grip too. Obviously I cant comment on the longevity of them but as first impressions go - 5/5! Never had such comfy wellies!
