Great Memory Book! Wish I had it last year!
This is a nice book. I didn't realize it goes from Preschool up to 12th grade. I thought it started at Kindergarten. I went over the Kindergarten pages with my son last night. It includes questions like who are your new friends, what did you learn new in school this year, and what is your favorite food, color, playground, etc. It's nice to have the little questions there because he will get to look back on this for years to come. There is a slot to place in report cards, special drawings and notes, etc. It is perfect for what we need now, but I do wonder will I have way more than this pocket can fit in future years? The questions change as the child gets older. Instead of answering what is your favorite color? They are answering questions about the sports teams they are on or the volunteer work that they are doing. I like it. I just wish I had it last year so that I could have his preschool page filled out. Oh! And one more part. At the top of each grade's page, it asks for the child's signature. I love that he will get to see how his signature developed over the years.

Great way to record all types of school memories
This scrap/record book is great! It's just what I wanted. It has places for school, class and other photos, somewhere to write little tidbits and favorites, a place to put papers and artwork, and it runs the gamut of pre-K to the end of high school (U.S. standards). As some had noted, it is not 11 inches tall, so it doesn't accommodate full 8 1/2 x 11 paper, but all the books I looked at were this way, and we get much larger projects home anyway. I always scan art projects before folding them if I am worried about preserving original quality. It is sturdy, and the pages open easily without worrying about breaking the binding. One feature that drew me to this book over similar products is the fact that it wasn't designed with a young kid focus. Since this is to be used through high school, I didn't want something with a children's design. In addition to the versatile visual design, the questions and options change over time to fit the age of the student, and there is a nice page at the end for a senior to write about their dreams for the future. I am very happy with our purchase. I am considering purchasing one for my two-year-old right now to ensure I get this design.

Awesome School Memory Book, But I Hate to Fold Papers to Fit Them In The Pockets
I got this book for my sister's triplets (one book for each) and my sister and I were very pleased! I love that this book includes Pre-K as many similar books did not, and it goes all the way up to 12th grade. It's great to be able to keep all school years in one book. I also loved that there is a photo spot for each grade level and that there are writing prompts for each section about new friends, how the child felt on the first day of school, and spots to write their favorite songs, colors, etc. It's a fantastic way to summarize the year and offer a snapshot into the school year and the child's likes at the time that they can look back on in later years. I really like that it doesn't take much time to complete each section for the parent, but it still makes a great memory album.I'm giving it 4 stars because I do wish there was more space to write or add your own things to each grade other than the prompted items. Also, while I love the pockets to hold artwork, awards, and report cards, they do NOT hold standard size paper (8.5x11), meaning you have to fold them. Overall, a highly recommended record book for parents!

Wonderful quick way to record the school years
I looked at many options and this was, by far, the most well organized school years memory book.

Great, simple, practical memory book
I looked and looked for a suitable memory book for my son. Read all the various reviews and even went around town so I could actually see the various avaiable books. I wanted something that I didn't have to pour hours over, but at the same time I could jot down some quick notes, have a place for him to write his name, etc.. and store his papers and report cards. Plus, I decided I really did want something that was Pre-K through 12. This definitely did the trick. It's not as fancy as some, but I love the pockets (plenty of room to hold things), the ability to put one or two photos, the places to write and best of all, the elastic band around the book to keep it together if it gets really full! Plus, its not too expensive. My son is only in Kindergarten, but I know I will enjoy filling this out with him over the years. If you are looking for a really cutsey, more of a scrapbooking type memory book...this might not be for you. But, if you want something pratical, that more than covers the basis, is a good size (holds an normal size piece of paper without folding)...then I highly recommend this book.

Awesome book!
I love this book so much! I found it randomly at the book store for half-price, so I bought it for my daughter who was starting Kinder that year. I tore out the Pre-K page and it starts in Kinder for her, BUT my son just started Pre-K this year and I had to order this book (it's no longer in the store) and now I'm waiting on the book to arrive, but with it being the first day of school I'd love for anyone to comment the pre-k page to me, so I can write it down on paper and transfer it when I get it! :)But, seriously, about the book--I love that there's a spot for the pictures and signatures, you'd be amazed how much it changed from just kinder to first grade WOW! It does NOT fit regular sized paper, but I keep the smaller papers in here, or I'll fold in half, and for artwork and certificates, I have a separate file in my house for those. It's so worth the money and the wait to fill out the next year--my daughter loves writing in it. If you are on the fence, just get it, you'll love looking back on these!
